No Homework Model

We are hoping “No Homework Model” has alleviated some additional stress on families and allowed for more family time with your child.  Research says that homework in Primary school has zero effect on academic achievement. A reminder that although your child will not be bringing home nightly homework, they are still expected to read 15-20 minutes each night.  Your child’s teacher may be sending home additional items for your child to work on if they did not finish in class. The teacher will be in contact with you if this is the case.  Thank you for helping to make sure your child is still getting in the nightly reading!!!

P.E Updates

Monday January 30th - Tuesday, February 15th:

Tuesday, February 7th - Monday, February 27th:

Students are encouraged to bring their own helmets if they have one to avoid having to wear hair nets. Other safety items are allowed, but must be in a large reusable bag that can be stored in the gymnastics closet and locked at the end of the night

    • January Focus = PERSEVERANCE

PurposeFull Pursuit:

We have all demonstrated Perseverance in our lives. Many of us have seen people practice Perseverance in ways that have inspired us. Stories are powerful tools for connecting as a family. Protect time this week to share stories about Perseverance with each other (you can use the story prompts to get started). At the end of the conversation, think of 1 way you can practice Perseverance this week.

Conversation Starters:

  • Can you describe flexible thinking?
  • Share with me how you use flexible thinking to help you Persevere.

Community Events and Activity Flyers

There are a great many worthy undertakings in the Kaukauna Area School District that understandably deserve public support. The Board of Education/School District assist with this process in providing notice to students and/or families of certain non-school-related community activities/programs that are for public school-age students (that apply and meet policy conditions). Click here or visit the school district website to view the up to date list of events and flyers
