November Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences
Click this blue link to verify your sign-up for Fall 21-22 Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences. We will be holding the conferences virtually with a Google Meet this fall. Although we will not meet in person, families should still "sign-up" for a time so that you can have an uninterrupted time with your child's teacher.
On the day and at the time of your scheduled conference, copy and paste the URL address listed in the "Location" area of your Sign-up Genius time into your Internet Browser then press return. This will connect you with the Google Meet. Your child's teacher will "admit you" into the Meet when he/she is ready for the conference to begin.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact the main office at 920-766-6116 if you have any questions about this process.
Thank you!
Character Trait of November |
This month we’re talking about Gratitude!
The dictionary defines it as: “the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.” The definition we are using in class is: Gratitude: choosing to notice and appreciate things in our life, things in others, and things in the world. We want to make sure we share with students that Gratitude is 1) a choice that we get to make over and over again on where we put our focus and 2) doesn’t always have to be about something positive. We can feel grateful even for tough or challenging things in our life! There is plenty of research that shows a strong connection between Gratitude and reduced anxiety, increased happiness, and better relationships. Over the course of the month, we will talk about amazing people who demonstrate Gratitude in various ways. We will talk about what we are grateful for in ourselves and in others. And we will even find Gratitude in some things we wouldn’t expect to be thankful for!
Food Drive
November 8 - 18 - KHS National Honor Society FOOD DRIVE will end on Thursday of this week. Let's do what we can for our community!- OFFICIAL RULES: Cash accepted ($1.00 = 1 item), checks made out to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, 1 small standard package of ramen is one item, any non-perishable items (NO Glass), no expired items. Thank you.
Community Events and Activity Flyers
There are a great many worthy undertakings in the Kaukauna Area School District that understandably deserve public support. The Board of Education/School District assist with this process in providing notice to students and/or families of certain non-school-related community activities/programs that are for public school-age students (that apply and meet policy conditions). Click here or visit the school district website to view the up to date list of events and flyers.
