Best Wishes and Welcome

Electa Quinney Elementary School Administrative Assistant, Missy Jersett, has been a familiar sight to the EQ office for 19 years and for KASD as an Administrative Assistant for a total of 24.  After watching the children become parents and supporting staff and students for all these years, Mrs. Jersett is taking a well-deserved retirement.  Mrs. Jersett has retired as of Oct. 15, 2021.  She shares her thanks to the students and parents of both Electa Quinney Elementary School and New Directions Learning Community for their love and support throughout her career.  She looks forward to time to spend with her husband of 45 years and shared, "Just like a well written book, the next chapter looks to have so much waiting for us to explore together."  Thank you Mrs. Jersett for all you have given our school and district!!!

Mrs. Jersett receiving a gift of appreciation for her years of service
and retirement from KASD Superintendent Mark Duerwaechter.

On October 25th we will welcome a new Administrative Assistant into the Electa Quinney office.  Shaina Carlson will be the new face you will see upon visiting our office.  Thank you for your patience, grace, and flexibility as we move through the transition from Mrs. Jersett to Ms. Carlson.  During the week in between Ms. Haley Quinn, NDLC Administrative Assistant, will be in the office each day to provide support for students, staff and families.  We will also have some additional support for a few hours each day in the office in the next week from some past familiar faces who have worked/subbed in our offices in prior years.  Welcome Ms. Carlson!

November Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences dates are around the corner on November 16, 18, and 19.  We will hold the conferences virtually through Google Meets.  As parents you will be able to sign up for a virtual conference time online with Sign-Up Genius just as you did last year.  We will send the sign-up information via a E-mail message from Parent Portal after the first week in November.

Talk with your kids to build healthy and safe habits for a lifetime: Small talks are short, casual conversations that help you connect with your child on the important stuff, like underage drinking. Having lots of small talks over time helps build trust and set expectations as kids change and grow.

Congratulations to our 25 year staff members!

Please help us in congratulating Mrs. Vanderaa (Educational Assistant), Mrs. Jozwiak (2nd grade Teacher) and Mrs. Herlache (4th grade Teacher) for their 25 years of service to the Kaukauna Area School District.  Superintendent Duerwaechter visited Electa Quinney this past week to share a gift of appreciation with them during our school staff meeting.

Community Events and Activity Flyers

There are a great many worthy undertakings in the Kaukauna Area School District that understandably deserve public support. The Board of Education/School District assist with this process in providing notice to students and/or families of certain non-school-related community activities/programs that are for public school-age students (that apply and meet policy conditions). Click here or visit the school district website to view the up to date list of events and flyers.
