Orange/Black/Favorite Fall Color Spirit Day
As we embrace the crisp autumn air and the vibrant hues of fall, we are inviting students to wear orange, black, or their favorite fall color on Tuesday, Oct. 31st! We ask that students not wear Halloween costumes/make-up to school. This day is all about celebrating the warmth of fall without the need for traditional costumes. So, dust off your favorite orange, black, or fall colored attire and join us for a day of togetherness. We can't wait to see the array of beautiful colors and styles that reflect the beauty of this season. Let's make October 31st a day to remember as we bask in the autumn glow together. Holidays vary for all families and students and each sparks so much joy and creativity for adults and children. For our families that celebrate Halloween we hope you and your family have a fun and safe celebration that evening or earlier in October!

PurposeFULL People = RESPONSIBILITY
PurposeFull Pursuit - RESPONSIBILITY:
Review Responsibility as a family! Responsibility is taking action and understanding how our choices affect others. Choose 1 household chore (or more!) that requires multiple steps. Then have each member of the family select 1 step to complete to help get the job done!
Maybe it is washing the dishes, doing laundry, cleaning the living room, or unloading the groceries – whatever it is, see who can be the quickest or most effective at their task!
Conversation Starters:
- -How do you know if you are showing Responsibility?
- -Can you share about a person at your school who is a really good flexible thinker or practices Responsibility well?
School Store
Hello Quinney Families,
Each day at Quinney School, staff are looking to recognize students who are demonstrating positive behaviors. There are three main school-wide behavioral expectations at Quinney School: Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. Students who make positive behavior choices are acknowledged in a variety of ways. Some of these acknowledgements include: earning character coins and tickets, being recognized as the Quinney Student of the Month, classroom rewards and all-school rewards.
This year we have implemented a new Quinney School Store for students to use their earned coins converted to tickets (5 coins = 1 ticket) to purchase items at the school store. The school store is run by 4th grade students and will be open the last week of each month. Our goal for the students is to decide if they want to have an instant reward or learn to save for a bigger reward. We will also have a raffle drawing from all the tickets each month for larger prizes and recognition.

This last week we had our Grand Opening of the School Store and it was a success! We were able to provide items for students to purchase with the help and funds from our school PAC. They helped purchase a variety of items including fun pencils, fidgets, pens, stickers, gum, snacks and more. To be able to continue with the Quinney School Store incentive this year, we are looking for donations. We have created an Amazon Wishlist to make it easy for you. The wish list includes smaller items for the school store and bigger items for the raffle. You can order directly from Amazon and the item can be shipped to Quinney. Click here
“Quinney School Store & Raffle” to bring you to the direct Amazon Wishlist link.
When you checkout, select to have your order shipped to Electa Quinney. Please check “yes” to the gift receipt so we can be sure to thank you for your support and donation.
Thank you so much!
