As winter approaches, we kindly remind you and students...
- Remember to bring more than just a sweatshirt when heading outside for safety and comfort in the changing weather.
- Students must wear boots and snow pants when in the snow. This isn't just about keeping warm; it's a matter of respect for themselves and our school community. Ensuring they're appropriately dressed not only keeps them healthy but also helps in maintaining a clean and safe environment at school.
- When students are not wearing boots/snow pants they are expected to stay on the shoveled area of the blacktop on the playground.
- If your child is in need of winter weather gear, please contact the office or your child's teacher so that we can assist in supporting you.
Winter Break
Weather Closures
Each day at Quinney School, staff are looking to recognize students who are demonstrating positive behaviors. There are three main school-wide behavioral expectations at Quinney School: Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. Students who make positive behavior choices are acknowledged in a variety of ways. Some of these acknowledgements include: earning character coins and tickets, being recognized as the Quinney Student of the Month, classroom rewards and all-school rewards.
This year we have implemented a new Quinney School Store for students to use their earned coins converted to tickets (5 coins = 1 ticket) to purchase items at the school store. The school store is run by 4th grade students and is in full swing! Our goal for the students is to decide if they want to have an instant reward or learn to save for a bigger reward. We will also have a raffle drawing from all the tickets each month for larger prizes and recognition.
To be able to continue with the Quinney School Store incentive this year, we are looking for donations. We have created an Amazon Wishlist to make it easy for you. The wish list includes smaller items for the school store and bigger items for the raffle. You can order directly from Amazon and the item can be shipped to Quinney. Click here
“Quinney School Store & Raffle” to bring you to the direct Amazon Wishlist link.
When you checkout, select to have your order shipped to Electa Quinney. Please check “yes” to the gift receipt so we can be sure to thank you for your support and donation.
Thank you so much!
