National School Social Worker Week

Thank you to our School Social Worker, Mrs. Wirth! We appreciate you and all you do for Electa Quinney and our community!

Wisconsin Forward Exam Testing

Each spring our students in grades 3 & 4 participate in the WI Forward Exam testing. Grade 3 will receive testing in ELA (English Language Arts) and mathematics. Grade 4 will receive testing in ELA (English Language Arts), mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
The WI Forward Exam will be given within the established testing window of March 20-April 28.
Please contact your child's classroom teacher or the office with any questions.

Color Run

Save the date on your calendar -- Our end of the year celebratory Color Run event will be held in the early evening on Thursday, May 18th. This will be our 5th annual Electa Quinney Color Run!
This year the color run will be in the evening for both students and families to participate. The run/walk will take place around Electa Quinney School (typically a 1.5 mi format). Participants will be showered with colored powder, made of food-grade corn starch, at color stations along the route. We refrain from booklet sale fundraisers and use this as our main fundraiser; beyond the cost of materials and the event, the remainder goes to benefit the students supporting end of the year activities and future events such as teacher classroom materials, student birthday books, speakers, field trips and assemblies, family/community events, and more.

$6,420.44 was raised by 115 registered students between EQ and NDLC (our goal was $5000)!!!!!!  Gym A will be named after Mitchell in Ms. VanAsten's class!!

It takes about 4 weeks to process registrations/donations and to send out the thank you gifts. As soon as we get them, we will hand everything out!

P.E Rollerblading Unit

The students had a blast during the P.E Rollerblading unit!

Fang's Reading Program

The third base cutout is due to your child’s teacher on Friday, March 10th for those Electa Quinney students are participating in the Fang’s Reading Club with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers!!!!

Students read their reading minutes to earn a free soda, hot dog and ticket voucher to Family Night at the Timber Rattler Game on Friday, May 12th at 6:40pm.

The reading program concludes on March 24th!

Spring Conferences

MARCH Focus = COOPERATION

PurposeFull Pursuit:

This week, encourage your child with a positive statement every morning that boosts their confidence and prepares them to use Cooperation skills throughout their day. Protect time in the evening to review how they used Cooperation skills during the day.

Conversation Starters:

  • When is it most challenging for you to Cooperate with others?
  • Talk about the last opportunity you had in your life to take on a different perspective when working with others.

Community Events and Activity Flyers

There are a great many worthy undertakings in the Kaukauna Area School District that understandably deserve public support. The Board of Education/School District assist with this process in providing notice to students and/or families of certain non-school-related community activities/programs that are for public school-age students (that apply and meet policy conditions). Click here or visit the school district website to view the up to date list of events and flyers
