Timber Rattlers EQ Family Night @ 6:40pm! 
The Color Run is just around the corner in the early evening on Thursday, May 18th. This will be our 5th annual Electa Quinney Color Run! Sign-up to participate in the actual walk/run will be coming via email soon!
This year the color run will be in the evening for both students and families to participate. The run/walk will take place around Electa Quinney School (typically a 1.5 mi format). Participants will be showered with colored powder, made of food-grade corn starch, at color stations along the route. We refrain from booklet sale fundraisers and use this as our main fundraiser; beyond the cost of materials and the event, the remainder goes to benefit the students supporting end of the year activities and future events such as teacher classroom materials, student birthday books, speakers, field trips and assemblies, family/community events, and more.

Our goal is to raise $15,000.00!

- FACT # 1:
All parents want to know "where is the money going"?
All monies raised will go to The EQ Family Color Run is an Electa Quinney PAC-sponsored program. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to fund replacement of classroom microphone systems, add high interest books to the Book Room, and fund PAC sponsored events and activities for Quinney students and teachers including teacher classroom materials, student birthday books, public speakers, field trips, assemblies, family/community events, and much more..

Currently, we're at $8,905.00! We're only 59% to goal!
Only 30.2% students have participated with a donation
Only 55.6% students have registered for the EQ Family Color Run.
- FACT #3:
We need 100% of all our students to get registered online!
- FACT #4:
Our hope is for all students to have a donation of any amount.
- FACT #5:
It cannot happen without parent support!

MAY Focus = CREATIVITY
PurposeFull Pursuit:
Create a space where your family can see emotion words or faces in 1 place near an entrance of a room (like the kitchen or the living room). Each time someone walks through the entrance this week (or longer!), have them share the emotion they are feeling in a Creative way. You could point, dance, stare, do charades, etc.
Emotion Elements & Emotion Words: [Air] represents emotions like nervous, distracted, inspired, or anxious. We use the character [Water] to represent emotions like sad, lonely, tired, or embarrassed. [Fire] represents emotions like anger, frustration, excitement, or fear. [Earth] represents emotions like comfortable, relaxed, motivated, or loving.
Conversation Starters:
- Can you share with me a time when you were able to use Creativity to solve a problem recently? How were you feeling?
- Why do you think it is important to share how we feel to others?
